'I wanted to thank you for the chocolate you sent me! What a fabulous gift for the ultimate chocolate lover, the chocolate was absolutely gorgeous. I especially liked the presentation and packaging as it makes the gift even more special and personal. Again, the perfect gift for a girl who loves the fine things in life!

Some reasearchers say that flavonoids in chocolate can maintain a healthy heart and thin the blood, which can in turn prevent blood clots. Scientists at Japan's Osaka University even believe he husks of the cocoa beans, which are used to make chocolate, contain an antibacterial agent that fights plaque – making chocolate good for your teeth too! Some people even say some dark chocolate eaten every day is good for your health. The best thing is to enjoy a little, good quality chocolate, every so often and remember that dark chocolate is better for you than milk or white because of the lower content of cocolate butter - and therefore fat - in it.
What cocoa content is your dark chocolate?
My plain chocolate has a 54% cocoa solids content.
What makes a quality chocolate?
You can tell you are eating a quality chocolate when you bite and the chocolate is crisp with a slight snap (provided it’s not been kept in too warm a place) and then it slowly melts on in your mouth. The chocolate should have a shiny surface and not appear dull and flat. You will notice the shiny surface and snap of the chocolate in your ChocoLamour chocolates, signifying an excellent quality chocolate, that has been perfectly tempered.
What cocoa content is your milk chocolate?
My milk chocolate contains 34% cocoa solids and 22% milk solids.
How should I store the chocolates?
Once you have bought, or better still, been given some fabulous ChocoLamour chocolates you want to ensure they taste perfect when you come to enjoy eating them. It is better not store to your chocolates in the fridge. You can if you prefer them chilled, but you may find they develop white marks, which is a fat or sugar bloom. There is nothing wrong with the chocolate when this happens and it will taste the same – it just won’t look as good. Try not to store them near items with a strong scent as the chocolate may envelope that scent. Strong light could also cause a fat or sugar bloom. Ideally, store your chocolates in a cool dark place, such as inside a cupboard.
When I buy ChocoLamour chocolates how long will the chocolates keep for?
I recommend you eat the chocolates within 1 month of purchasing them.
Do ChocoLamour chocolates contain hydrogenated fats?
No. Many brands of chocolate use hydrogenated fats. This could be because it is cheaper to use that cocoa butter and bulks up the content of the chocolate. Chocolates that contain hydrogented fats can taste greasy or oily and lack the superiority of more 'pure' chocolate. None of the chocolate I use at ChocoLamour contains hydrogenated fats .
